This area was commercial area where surrounded the residence of samurai and left behind like island It is 120 years ago that the Isedama family established Isedama independently from their relative’s brewery. Isedama has started to run diversity after current president Mr. Isei assumed. He made the such system as a theme park with the noodle restaurant、 the cafeteria、 the concert hall、 more than ten years ago. It is not too much to say that Isedama shows one of the direction of the brewery in the future. I was surprised when I came here by car. The street is entirely a zone centering around core of the brewery recognized as a cultural property. Their main point is the culture of the brewery、 therefore they make sake withn they sell at only their stores. President Isei 、 who looks like modern gentleman、 is tight. I thought that he was shy 、 because he said “Please shoot the brewery not me.” However、 my thought was not right、 he told many stories in one hour. It is said that this brewery has been working on the film commission since a long time before. When how long time before it was、 to my surprise、 the movie named “Awa no Odoriko”、 which was directered by Mr. Masahiro Makino、 which was played by Mr. Kazuo Hasegawa and Hideko Takamine、 locationed this place in the year showa teens. The president said “ I have been watching sake from the outside.” I asked “Don’t you work on making sake hardly yet?” And he answered that he was preparing to make an attractive sake as another type of business. For now、 His purpose is to construct the culture of sake. Please wait with your expection.
